Kilpatrick Carroll
Kilpatrick (kil) is a graduate student in the department of Biochemistry
and Molecular
Biophysics. Kil graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2001 with
a
degree in biochemistry, and was awarded the National Science Foundation predoctoral
fellowship in 2002. Kil joined the laboratory in 2002 and his main focus has
been on the
obesity protein Tubby. Kil’s current research focus is to discover upstream
and downstream
factors in the Tubby pathway, and to determine the biochemical mechanism by
which Tubby
regulates metabolism.
