Carlo Ciatto
Carlo did his undergraduate studies at the University of
Pisa, Italy, and was awarded
a degree in Biology in 1994. After graduation he moved to Jena, Germany, where
he worked at the Institute for Molecular Biotechnology. In 1999 he started a
doctoral
program at the University of Zurich, in Switzerland, and received a PhD in
Natural
Sciences at the end of 2002. He then joined the laboratory of Prof. Randy Read
at the
University of Cambridge, UK, as a research associate. He was a postdoctoral
researcher
in this lab from 2003-2007 and worked on solving the structures of type II
cadherins.
Carlo now works as a research scientist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
