Phinikoula Strati-Katsamba
Phini joined the lab in 2007 as a research
specialist, aiming to apply her extensive knowledge of SPR
biosensors
to
the study of adhesive proteins, including cadherins and
the synaptic neurexins and neuroligins.
The biophysical
characterization of
the biomolecular interactions as described by SPR binding experiments,
supplements
the lab’s ongoing crystallographic efforts, to enhance our
understanding of the
mechanisms
that underlie the biological function of these proteins
during junction formation and adhesion.
